TCT: At The Royal Albert Hall
(Time Life)

A leader in donating time and money to young kids with debilitating illness, Roger Daltrey was the impetus behind the making of TCT: Concerts For Teenage Cancer Trust At The Royal Albert Hall. Recorded live in September 2007, the DVD of TCT features a star-studded cast of great English rock bands and artists including The Who, Noel Gallagher & Paul Weller, The Cure, Judas Priest and many more. In addition to The Who blazing through classics like “Baba O’Riley” and “The Seeker,” other highlights include and excellent acoustic set by Gallagher and Weller and an intriguing segment bordering on the avant gard by Super Furry Animals main man Gruff Rhys—who dazzles with a pop track layered with all manners of electronics, looping and inimitable vocals. A splendid time was had by all and in addition the nearly two hour DVD features an excellent video archive interview with Pete Townshend interviewed about a number of fascinating classic rock topics. www.TeenageCancerTrust.org
