Sir Elton John, who turned 60 on 3/25/07, is feted on the late ‘07 double DVD release of Elton 60 Live At Madison Square Garden. For his birthday bash that night, Elton appeared in top form with his amazing band including long time members, guitarist Davey Johnstone and drummer Nigel Olsson. At the garden that night Elton and Co. proceeded to chronicle some of the finest piano rockers ever recorded with an emphasis on his early ‘70s classics Tumbleweed Connection and Honky Chateau. Another cool thing is that accompanying each of the two Garden 2007 live DVD’s are a number of live, rare and unseen early ‘70s live in the studio and BBC video clips chronicling significant songs, starting from the fabled first Elton John album from 1970 and more while part two of disc two is entitled Elton’s New York Stories.
