Acoustic guitar music at it’s best, Center Stage presents a double CD portrait of Australian guitar icon Tommy Emmanuel caught live during solo guitar shows recorded over three nights in California in October 2007. The concerts were recorded at the Sierra Nevada Brewery in Chico for the PBS television series Sierra Center Stage. Interestingly, in addition to the double CD set of Center Stage, Tommy's label, Favored Nations is also planning a Summer 2008 DVD release of Center Stage. On Favored Nations’ expanded editions of the PBS TV show, Emmanuel is at his best in the live, solo guitar setting with his crisply recorded guitar instrumentals (and occasional vocal) working the crowed like butter over hot toast.
