New Orleans has a rich musical history and one prog band from the region, Woodenhead formed an offshoot band called Twangorama. Led by a trio of guitarists including Cranston Clements, Phil deGruy and Jimmy Robinson—with added help from Plau Clement (bass) and Mark Whitaker (drums—the band offers a memorable cross-section of vital guitar styles. The self-titled Twangorama will appeal to all guitar camps—from surf-rock to Hellecasters style American fusion instrumental to an eclectic Les Paul / Chet Atkins inspired instrumental guitar sound.
